Finally! Adirondack Photos (Sort of)

We took a trip to the Adirondacks the end of July. Myself and a bunch of the older youth boys. I found out that even though I can run three miles a days no problem, I can no longer keep up with the pack. I haven’t given up yet though.

Anyhoo, I received back one of my three rolls of film from the trip. The other two are still at Walmart someplace I hope. At any rate, here are some of the photos.

For those of you who are interested, we jumped off at The Garden and headed up to Bushnell falls. When we got there the lean to’s were occupied to we headed up to the next lean to, which was also occupied. We were able to find a spot nearby one of the tributaries off of John’s Brook just a bit further up the trail.

We set up camp and ate. The next morning we got up and found out that a bear had visited in the night. Fortunately, he didn’t get our food, which we had tied off. Once we ate we headed up north of Bushell falls toward Marcy. The hike was very damp, hot, and foggy with occasional rain. When we reached the top of Marcy, the view was very limited, but interesting nonetheless. By the time we left, the clouds had cleared. Hopefully, I’ll get those photos someday. We hiked down the other trail back to Point Balk to Bushnell falls. When we got back, the boys swam at Bushnell falls and I swam in the stream near where we camped. Ooh, did that feel good. Very cold. I wish we climbed Haystack, but all in all, it was a great trip.
